The Disney Movie Fact That'll Blow Your Mind

Get ready for a Disney movie fact that might just blow your mind!

May the 4th is Star Wars Day and we’ve been celebrating with all kinds of snacks, merchandise, and more. But if you want to know a SURPRISING Star Wars movie fact — read on!

Do you remember that scene where there’s a chase between the Millennium Falcon and some pursuing TIE fighters in an asteroid field? Well, look closely.

At certain points of the scene, you might see some things floating around that look strangely like potatoes, and that’s because…they ARE potatoes!

D23 shared a video explaining that the artists at Industrial Light and Magic used potatoes (ACTUAL potatoes) to supplement hand-carved asteroids in this sequence!
