See How a Show In Disney World Has CHANGED

There’s way more to Disney World than just visiting the theme parks and riding attractions.

Cirque do Soleil: Drawn to Life stage

Just look at Disney Springs, where you’ve got a hot air balloon ride, world-class dining, and all kinds of unique shopping. But there’s some great entertainment in Disney Springs, too, including the Cirque du Soleil show there, Drawn to Life. Now, that show has been updated.

If you’ve never seen Drawn to Life, the show follows the story of a 12-year-old girl, Julie, who finds an unfinished work of animation left behind by her father, who passed away. Julie works to finish the piece of animation, which takes her on an exciting adventure through her imagination.

Now there are two NEW acts in the show. These new additions have been around for a little while, but we were invited to a media event to check the two  new acts out. The first is called Icarian Games and features two Ethiopian artists performing “incredible feats of strength and agility.” The act has one performer lying down and using their legs to toss the other performer into the air. All we can say is WOW.

If you hadn’t noticed, the scene takes inspiration from Disney’s animated forests and the creatures that inhabit them.

The second act is Dream of Colors. This act pays tribute to ink and paint artists. It features vibrant colors “painted” by trapeze artists on a suspended wheel.

The scene also features aerial hoop artists.

We also learned that the show is now performing matinee shows on Sundays at 1:30 PM, as well as 4PM. You can also catch it on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 5:30PM and 8:30PM. You can visit the official Cirque do Soleil Drawn To Life website to purchase tickets — shows can sell out, so you’ll want to grab those early. Ticket prices start at $85 per person.

So if you’re looking for a unique afternoon or evening out that doesn’t require a park ticket, you should consider checking this show out — it is quite extraordinary. Plus that will put you in Disney Springs, where you could easily treat yourself to both a great dinner and a show.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on EVERYTHING that happens in Disney World, so be sure to check back with AllEars often.
