Way back in 2020, Disney announced that a new film adaptation of the Haunted Mansion attraction was heading into development.

Since then, much of the lead production team has been announced, as well as an all-star cast. Most recently, we even got a release date and now there’s even more news!
Disney has revealed the official logo for Haunted Mansion and has introduced some of the plot details!

The “mysterious adventure” will follow a doctor (Rosario Dawson) and her 9-year-old (Chase Dillon) as they move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans. Surprise! It seems the mansion is haunted! Desperate for help, they reach out to a priest (Owen Wilson), a widowed scientist-turned failed-paranormal expert (LaKeith Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Tiffany Haddish), and a crotchety historian (Danny DeVito).

Wow, what a plot and what a cast! Expect to see the new film in theaters on March 10th, 2023. Keep an eye on AllEars for the latest details on its release!

Didn’t they all ready make a Haunted Mansion movie? With Eddie Murphy?
Yes! The Eddie Murphy version was themed more to Disneyland Paris’ version of the Haunted Mansion and it looks like this one is themed to Disneyland’s New Orleans version. I think in the end they will be two totally different films.
I hope it is more haunted and not a comedy.
Tiffany Haddish, Danny Divito…it will be have comedic moments, if not a full blown comedy.
Next thing you know they’ll make a Tower of Terror movie for the big screen.
