Recently, actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried, who lent his recognizable voice to Aladdin’s Iago, passed away after a long battle with an unknown illness. To honor his memory, the cast of Aladdin on Broadway dedicated their Tuesday night performance to Gottfried.

According to Deadline, after the cast of Broadway’s Aladdin ended their performance on Tuesday, the actor who portrays Iago, Don Darryl Rivera, took center stage and shared “Tonight, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate the life of a comedy legend. A funny man with an indelible voice. The man who breathed life into Iago for the animated film, Mr. Gilbert Gottfried.”
