Want to Go to the ARTIC With Imagineer Joe Rohde? Disney Can Make It Happen!

From Alaska to South Africa — there are all kinds of amazing places you can explore with Adventures by Disney.

We’ve shared a look at special Adventures by Disney discounts in the past, as well as a peek at the 2022 destinations. But now, it’s time to plan for 2023 and check out a NEW experience you could go on!

Adventures by Disney just announced that they will be offering a NEW expedition cruise experience in 2023. During this new expedition, guests will get to go to the northernmost region of the earth: the ARTIC!!!

That’s right — we’re talking natural wonders, incredible wildlife, and a trip that’s sure to be unforgettable. A team of expert naturalists and Adventure Guides will get to join you on this amazing trip to share all kinds of stories.

Here’s a break-down of the Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises you can go on in 2023:

1 — NEW Family Expedition Cruises to the Artic

These cruises will be chartered with PONANT, which is a leader of “luxury polar expeditions.” There are 2 expedition dates: June and July of 2023. These are each 10-day, 9-night itineraries.

You’ll get to travel to the Norwegian Artic, explore Longyearbyen (the northernmost settlement on the planet with a permanent population of more than 1,000!), see glaciers, go on boat excursions, and maybe even see wildlife like polar bears, reindeer, and more.

Want to add even MORE fun to your adventure? Then you’ll want to hop on the July sailing, where you’ll be joined by former Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde! 

Rohde will share stories from his Disney career and his passion for nature, and he’ll even teach sketching sessions for guests. Talk about one epic adventure.

2 — Family Expedition Cruises to Antartica

In 2023, you’ll also be able to go to Antartica. Disney has added 3 new departures for this special itinerary, which depart in December 2022 and early 2023.

On this trip, you’ll get to go to the southernmost tip of Argentine Patagonia, travel through the Drake Passage, go on hikes and boat excursions, and maybe even see whales, penguins, and seals!

3 — Family Expedition Cruises in the Galapagos Islands

If you’re looking for something a bit warmer, you can head to the Galapagos Islands on 9-day, 8-night itineraries.

On these cruises, you’ll get to snorkel in waters inhabited by sea lions, hike, and even paddle transparent kayaks!

Booking Information

Bookings for 2023 Adventures by Disney Expedition Cruises will open to the general public on November 12th, 2021. But, select bookings will open early for select guests. The image below was specifically show on the website in relation to the Antartica sailings.

If you’re interested in the other sailings, be sure to check if you qualify for any early booking dates.

Savings

If you want to book a 2023 expedition cruise to Antartica, you could also save BIG by booking early. If you book your adventure by February 7, 2022 for the February 13, 2023 departure, you could save 1,000 per person!

Certain terms and conditions apply, and availability is limited, so be sure to ask and see if it’s available for when you book.
