It’s been a busy year for Disney movies with the release of films like Cruella, Jungle Cruise, and Black Widow. And, there are even more to come with Marvel’s Eternals debuting next week.

But, as we approach 2022, there’s another movie to look forward to for Toy Story fans — Lightyear! Last year it was revealed that Chris Evans would be joining the cast in the lead role as Buzz Lightyear and now we’ve got our first look at the movie!

Lightyear is a new Buzz Lightyear prequel coming to the Toy Story series that will debut in theaters on June 17th, 2022. And, if you’re wondering how Disney could replace Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz, well…this Buzz is different. The movie will actually be the original story about the actual human named Buzz Lightyear, of which the toy version was based on.

Disney and Pixar dropped the first teaser trailer for Lightyear, which gives fans a sneak peek at the story of how a test pilot became the beloved Buzz Lightyear character we know today. You can watch it below!
