Over the past year, we’ve seen a few food shortages impact Disney World.

Back in April, Ketchup became a condiment that was hard to come by in the parks. And, most recently, the fan-favorite POG Juice (which is made with passion fruit, orange, and guava juices) disappeared from several dining locations. But, while both of these shortages have seemingly been resolved, there’s a new drink (or drinks) that could be hard to find in 2022.
According to CNBC, the CEO of Coca-Cola (James Quincey) has shared that he expects that there will be shortages of Coca-Cola products sporadically throughout 2022.

In explaining what could cause these shortages, he cited “labor shortages, spiking gas costs in Europe and a plastic plant in Brazil that burst into flames.” Additionally, issues in the supply chain and higher commodity costs may contribute.

The effects of the sporadic shortages will likely be most widely seen in the grocery stores, however, Coca-Cola partners with Disney to provide in-park and resort beverages. So, we could see an impact in Disney World from time to time in 2022.

Quincey expects that the shortages will persist throughout the entirety of 2022, though shared that they “will likely decrease in significance over time as the situation improves.”

Of course, we’ll keep an eye out for when (or if) the shortage may impact your Disney World trip, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

sounds like a way to raise prices to me
I was just thinking to myself that with all of the lies we’ve been told over the last few years, I wouldn’t doubt for one minute that this is just a ploy to make people run out and stock up like they did on toilet paper. Sadly I trust nothing at all that I’m told these days.
