Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ Is Currently the #1 Movie Across The World

Hello, everyone, and welcome aboard the Jungle Cruise, which has been cruising along since 1955.

And not only has the Disney attraction received a bunch of new updates, but it’s also now a movie starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. And after a star-studded world premiere at Disneyland, the film has cruised to the top spot of this week’s box office.

That’s right — Disney’s Jungle Cruise movie debuted at #1 this weekend and opened to an estimated total of more than $90 million worldwide. That includes $34.2 million at the U.S. box office, $27.6 million at the international box office, and over $30 million through Disney+ Premier Access. We previously talked about its performance in the box office, but now we know how it performed across international audiences and Disney+.

Disney released the following statement about the film: “Jungle Cruise is the perfect summer adventure film, bringing a beloved theme park attraction to both the big screen and living rooms in a way that only Disney can. We remain focused on offering consumer choice during these unprecedented times, and it is clear that fans and families value the ability to make decisions on how they prefer to enjoy Disney’s best-in-class storytelling.”
