A lot of changes have been happening at Disney television! Following last year’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, Disney did a total overhaul of their television studios, including ABC.
Today, we’ve got news of another change from Disney and ABC Signature.
According to Deadline, ABC’s Executive Director of Comedy Development, Amanda Barclay, has left for a new position as Director of Original Comedy Series at Netflix.
In the past Barclay helped develop series like Adopted, Black Don’t Crack, and Home Economics and worked on development for Hulu, FX, Freeform, and ABC.
At Netflix, Barclay is joined by another former ABC executive, Lisa Lang McMullen. McMullen joined Netflix last year as the Director of Drama Development.
