Despite a slow start in theaters, six weeks after its premiere it is still on the box office charts!

Many live-action adaptations of animated Disney films have done well in terms of box office and Disney+ earnings. Cruella is proving to be one of the best by surpassing $200 million in box office earnings worldwide and reaching close to $80 million domestically. Critics didn’t think these numbers were possible for the new Disney film, but the numbers continue to rise! We should’ve known — Cruella even told us in the film, “I’m just getting started, darling.”

Although several new movies have come out in theaters between Cruella‘s release date and now, Cruella remains on the chart. It even ranks above the newer films like Peter Rabbit 2: The RunawayThe Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, and In The Heights.  With more new movies coming out, like Black Widow this Friday, Cruella could be moved from its place on the charts.
