There’s been a LOT of Marvel news happening recently with the debut of Loki, the opening of Avengers Campus, and the upcoming premiere of Black Widow.
But, there’s another kind of Marvel entertainment coming soon too!
The Comic Book has shared the details of the Marvel’s Avengers: War for Wakanda game expansion announced during the E3 2021 livestream. The already popular Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics game will feature a new story starring the Black Panther and his Wakanda home as they fight against Klaw.
Previously, we have seen Andy Serkis start as the Vibranium thief in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But, Klaw will return to try and invade Wakanda in the new expansion as the Avengers team up with the Black Panther to defeat him. The Black Panther is the third new hero after Kate Bishop and Clint Barton have also been playable as Hawkeye.
However, War for Wakanda is the first major expansion to come to the game. It was also revealed that Spider-Man would also be coming at some point to Marvel’s Avengers as a Play Station-exclusive character.
War for Wakanda will be free for players who own Marvel’s Avengers on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X when it debuts in August this year. Single player and co-op missions will be available for gameplay. And, you can watch the trailer for the expansion below!
The game will let players be Star Lord (also known as Peter Quill) and lead the Guardians of the Galaxy across the universe after a massive galactic war. You can check out the official trailer below!
