Hey Disney World, Please Bring This Popcorn Bucket Here!

Have you ever bought a Disney popcorn bucket?

Delicious, but not entirely satisfying as a meal replacement.

These fun little souvenirs are perfect for collecting and snacking because you can get them refilled with popcorn over and over again! We’ve seen all kinds of fun designs over the years, but today we’re really wishing that we could buy the newest bucket from Tokyo Disneyland.

Thanks to @tokyodisneylorien on Instagram, we got a glimpse at the new “it’s a small world” popcorn bucket at Tokyo Disney. The colorful pastel bucket is a shockingly accurate model of the ride, complete with a little doll on the front!

And can we talk about how big those buckets are? They’re a pretty decent size — you could snack on a LOT of popcorn with that thing! Can Disney World get these next? Because we’re seriously considering flying to Tokyo to get our own.

We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any more popcorn buckets to show up in Disney World and Disneyland Resort, so stay tuned to AllEars!

  1. My daughter has the Steamboat Willie popcorn bucket from Tokyo Disney Sea. We were fortunate enough to visit her while she was stationed in Japan in 2019. They have different buckets and different flavor carts all over the park. We stopped so she could ask a CM where she could get the Steamboat bucket specifically, then ventured all the way back across the park for it while my husband and I took a gondola ride. It’s had garlic shrimp popcorn, curry popcorn, and a sweet flavor popcorn in it, but if I remember correctly, everyone liked the curry the best.
I agree with Brooke’s post as well- their quality of popcorn buckets are much better than ours here. The popcorn buckets in Tokyo are their “thing” so to speak. It’s all about the buckets.

  2. I love the popcorn buckets, but I don’t understand why the ones from Tokyo are so much more impressive than the ones we can get here in the States. Don’t believe me? Go take a look on eBay, and you’ll see what I mean. When I saw that there was a Dumbo bucket in Disneyland several years ago, I was so excited. I found someone headed there and paid them to bring one home for me. It was so cute. Then I was looking around on eBay and saw the Dumbo one from Tokyo Disney. It was so much cuter. It even had Timothy riding in Dumbo’s hat. After debating with myself for a while, I ponied up and paid a small fortune to get the Tokyo bucket. When it arrived, I was astounded by the difference in quality between the 2. The Tokyo one was so much better made, with a more substantial feel and look and much more attention paid to the details. I think we should demand that Disney offers equal quality in all its parks. It seems only fair that we get what others around the world do, especially when you consider that the U.S. is where Disney magic was born.
