NEWS: Florida Officials Consider Disney World as Vaccine Distribution Site

Health and government officials are searching for more facilities to house and distribute the COVID-19 vaccine.

Large corporations like Walgreens and Publix will administer the vaccine in addition to the appointed hospitals. In recent news, Disneyland Resort in California will serve as a Super Point of Dispersing, providing the vaccine to thousands of people a day as well. Now, Florida government officials are mentioning Disney World as a distribution point for residents.

As reported by Orlando Sentinel, Disney World is “talking with the state and offering to help the vaccine efforts in any way it can.” In order to store the vaccine, ultracold freezers must be available onsite. Disney World could have the capacity and facilities to properly administer the vaccine.
