We’ve Got an Answer to the Mystery Building in Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney World!

Back in August, we noticed a mysterious building pop up on Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Mysterious Building!

We’ve been watching the area transform as construction took place, and we rode it again today to see if there were any more updates. Well, on our safari we discovered what this area is for!

Cast Members referred to the area as the “Warden’s Outpost” as indicated by the sign in the building’s yard. We also heard our Safari Guide tell us a story about elephants and a “Beehive Fence” when we approached this area. Turns out, this section of the safari isn’t meant for the Warden or bees

Goats!

…it’s for GOATS! (Yes, they are these animals are the Greatest of All Time, but we’re talking real goats here.) There’s now a big group of cutie-pie goats milling around the building.

Greatest of All Time

The goats are living their best life strolling around the yard, chowing on snacks, and lounging on rocks. Oh, to be a Disney World goat!

Disney stated that these are Nigerian dwarf goats. They are considered to be of high value because their milk is high in protein and very sweet. The goat’s milk helps support villages in Africa, which assists in keeping wildlife and their habitats protected. The goats are placed on the Warden’s outpost to show that local wildlife “and humans can live near each other in harmony.”

We’ll keep an eye on this area of the attraction and let you know if anything changes!
