Make Your Own DIY Haunted Mansion Decor With Disney Paper Parks!

Even though Disneyland remains closed as the Halloween season officially rolls in, that doesn’t mean all is lost. There are plenty of ways to celebrate at home, including doing fun DIY projects!

Created by Imagineers Stephanie Jazmines and Amy Young, the Disney Paper Parks projects were introduced for the first time in July, and now they’re back with spooky-themed DIYs to add to the parks we’ve been building — and to decorate our own homes.

We’ve seen printable paper floats from Disneyland’s new Magic Happens parade and even a Main Street, U.S.A. DIY project, and the latest addition to the collection is all about Halloween.

To add to our paper park, there’s Disneyland’s main gate all decked out for the holiday, with the pumpkin versions of Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Minnie, and Pluto that usually welcome us when we arrive at the parks this time of year.

But that’s not all! We’ve also been graced with a paper chain and Haunted Mansion sign that we can use to decorate our own homes.

And then, there’s a set of Grim Grinning Ghosts shadow puppets, which is the perfect activity to do with kids (as long as you have glue, scissors, tape, string, paper straws, and brad fasteners on hand).

This is the perfect Halloween-themed DIY to do at home, especially if you’re missing Disneyland a little extra this year like we are.

There’s always next year, but ’til then, we’ll be creating a puppet show in the comfort in our own homes. Get started by printing out the pages here, and then get decorating!

  1. Boo To You! It’s getting close to Halloween Season and I was hoping to make a paper Haunted Mansion. I believe you were allowing you guest to create that park along with you. I would never want to use something we were not supposed to use. I was looking for some of the printables. For example the bats and chains listed above. How can I get the actual pattern if you are allowing us to create them too!
