NEWS! Disney’s The Haunted Mansion is Being Adapted Into a Brand NEW Film!

What better way to kick off the start of “spooky season” than with the announcement of a brand new film inspired by The Haunted Mansion?

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion

That’s right! If you’re familiar with the 2003 film starring Eddie Murphy, you’ll soon have ANOTHER film adaptation of the hit Disney attraction to watch!

According to Hollywood Reporter, a NEW Haunted Mansion film is currently in the works, with Katie Dippold attached as one of the writers! Dippold’s most recent works include the recent Ghostbusters film as well as the comedy the The Heat. She was was also a writer for the hit television series Parks and Recreation.

Two of the film’s producers, Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, were both behind the recent live action remake of Aladdin.

  1. I really wish they would get back to having some originality and creativity. Remakes and live action remakes are getting old…

  2. Ok Disney, you screwed up. The last star wars, and the muppets in Disney +, please redeem yourself for this one. I have low expectations from anything out of Disney these days, so surprise me. Please,keep elements,of the actual haunted mansion ride elements,in the movie and,don’t,go too far off course with the attraction as the central part of the movie.

  3. In San Diego Comic-Con’s in 2010 it was announced that director Guillermo Del Toro would be writing and producing a new movie based on The Haunted Mansion. This is the version that I would have liked to see because it would have been dark and pretty scary.
