On June 22nd, a variety of Disney World Resort hotels reopened to guests.
Upon their reopening, one noticeable change we saw was over at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, where these is a new fence running through the middle of the resort. While we’ve seen an aerial view of the new blue fence, which separates the main building of the resort from several other building, now we’ve gotten a closer look.
While Disney hasn’t released any official information on the purpose of the fence, the timing of its installation lines up with the NBA’s season resuming at Disney World this month, with select teams making Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort their home base.
The new fence is long, splitting the Grand Floridian property into two.
The fence could act as a way to create a “bubble” for the NBA teams, ensuring that they don’t come in contact with any Disney World Resort guests to ensure the health and safety of all.
To get a better overview of how large this fence is, you can check out the aerial photo taken by reporter bioreconstruct below.
