If you’ve woken up at the crack of dawn to put an attractions-inspired Minnie Mouse collectible in your ShopDisney cart, you know how irresistible the Minnie Mouse Main Attraction collection can be. In fact, they typically sell out in seconds, with disappointed fans left staring at items in their ShopDisney carts, unable to complete their purchases.
But this morning we spotted something a little different on ShopDisney’s Main Attraction page. Instead of the upcoming collection, inspired by Peter Pan’s Flight, being described as available in June, it now says “Available soon.” Even more interestingly, we found this tidbit: “Minnie is headed on summer vacation.” (Where? And can we come?)
No additional dates are included with this information, but ShopDisney adds that fans should check back for “upcoming releases of Series 6 through 12.”
So will the June collection drop this Saturday as planned? How long is Minnie’s vacation? Will Disney fix the online purchase system that so many fans deride? We’ll keep watching and let you know when Disney updates!

Please hurry back from your vacation Minnie. I really want the Peter Pan back pack. I could not wait. I ordered the mug & plush from UK Disney shop and the pins from Ebay but the back pack is too high on Ebay and sold out on UK website. I love all of the collections so far but Peter Pan is my favorite.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the Minnie Dumbo collection ever since I saw the Space Mountain ones in Disney World in January and the sign giving a clue to the upcoming collections. I missed out on the awesome Dumbo quote collection last year and am still kicking myself over it since I saw it just after it was released but didn’t buy it then. When I went back later that day, I was shocked to see that everything was gone already. I get doing a collection of the month, but why do they have to make it so darn limited?!? It absolutely infuriates me how many are sold to people whose only intention is to put them on ebay for triple or quadruple the original price, and Disney is making that possible by offering things that are so ridiculously limited. I mean, seriously, limited plush and coffee mugs? If it’s a monthly thing, why can’t they be available for that whole month and then taken away? Or even for a whole day? I’ve collected Dumbo since I was a little kid and have quite a nice collection, so I hate that I might miss out on something I’ve been looking forward to if I’m not one of the lucky few. I do understand limited edition collectibles, but these aren’t things that are numbered. Disney just decides how many they want to make for said month, and if you miss out in those first few seconds, too bad for you. I think they should offer them as a presale, and then they can make as many as are necessary to fill those orders and then they can put them up online on a certain day and when they sell out, they sell out, but it would make it so that, for those who genuinely want the items, they can get them for a fair price. It would put a nice dent in all the jerks out there who just want to make money off the resale. So, in closing, I like the monthly collections, but I have a real problem with the way they are offered, and I suspect I’m not the only one who feels this way!
I feel the exact same way. I am also looking forward to the dumbo wine as well. I was super excited for March’s release and May’s. Was on first thing and had everything in my chart and was unable to get. It was very fusterating to say the least. I was probably using some choice words. Just cause I wanted them so bad, was up and on. On time put that time in and super excited went to super disappointed fast. I do hope that they figure out a way for us that truly want these items for our collections, to be able to get them. I think your pre order idea sounds like a good idea. Hope Disney is listening.
I have to say I have been very disappointed with this collection. I’m still waiting for March, hoping I can get it when the stores reopen. I had to purchase April & May on EBay since I couldn’t get them online. It’s nice that Disney is waiting for stores to reopen before selling anymore Minnie Main Attractions so regular people have a chance against the bots on the site.
