Movie theaters across the country have been closed for months, including three major theater companies: AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.
According to a report from Comscore, about 150 drive-in theaters across the US are currently operating while only 50 brick and mortar locations have opened. These numbers are up from previous weeks. A drive-in in CA reported a 193% increase in business during April and May.
Several movie studios don’t have films set to release before July and multiple theaters have already announced that they will not be reopening until larger blockbuster movies are released.
