Tonight, the ever-popular Disney Villains After Hours event is back at the Magic Kingdom! The event is set to run on select nights throughout the year, starting tonight and lasting through July 10th.
This separately-ticketed event is a villains-themed version of the popular Disney After Hours events that allow guests to spend an extra three hours in the park after it closes to take advantage of lower crowds (and shorter wait times!).
With more than 20 attractions remaining open, plenty of specialty eats, and some positively evil shows and entertainment, there’s a lot to see and do at Villains After Hours.
Check-in
The event either runs from 9 PM to Midnight or from 10 PM to 1 AM depending on the date, but you can enter the park as early as 7 PM no matter what time your party starts! For tonight’s after-hours, the event kicked off at 9 PM, so we showed up early to nab our special event wristband!
Of course, we also got a specially-themed Villains guide map for the event that lists all of the open attractions and eateries.
In the map, you’ll be able to find all the special food, attractions, and entertainment that are part of the event!
It even shows you the special merchandise and photo opportunities to look forward to in the after hours event.
Disney Villains After Hours Food & Drink
There are a ton of options for everything from delicious treats to fiendish concoctions for Villains After Hours! Along with the complimentary treats (such as ice cream, popcorn, and select bottled beverages) that are included in the cost of admission for the after hours event, there are also a variety of special villain-themed goodies you can pick up throughout the night.
The event features a variety of different treats inspired by some of our favorite Disney villains. This year, we saw the return of some favorites, as well as a couple of new additions. This year’s Dr. Facilier-themed treats included Voodoo Magic, a neon green combination of green apple syrup and lemonade, finished with a rock candy straw!
While the Hades Nachos didn’t return this year, Hades has still got plenty of menu options. Just check out the eyeful that is the Hades Hot Dog! This guy is heavy on the spice, a beef hot dog topped with buffalo chicken and spicy ranch.

Disney Villains After Hours Entertainment
This year, we’ve got some new entertainment, including the Villain’s Cursed Caravan. The procession runs twice nightly, and features a variety of your favorite Disney villains in some really fun ways. The Queen of Hearts marched down the street, with all her cards in tow!
Gaston was being very Gaston while riding horseback in the parade.
And, of course, Maleficent made a very cool appearance!
The Villains Unite the Night stage show also returned this year, with the same classic story, overlays, and fireworks!
There were also two new photo ops added to the festivities this year, including Scar over in Adventureland…
…and the Queen of Hearts located (fittingly) by the Mad Tea Party.

Disney Villains After Hours Merchandise
This year’s event has a lot of returning merchandise, as well as some awesome new picks. Perhaps our favorite from the bunch was the new Oogie Boogie Sipper!
As cool as he is to look at here, this isn’t even as good as it gets — he also lights up!
Along with the new merchandise, we also saw some returning favorites, like the Poison Apple Votive.
And, of course, there are plenty of apparel options to choose from! A lot of the collection features King of the Underworld, Hades.
One particularly cool pick featuring the fiery fiend is the Hades Windbreaker!

If you’re interested in attending this spook-tacular event, Disney Villains After Hours will be taking place on select nights now through July 10th at the Magic Kingdom. Since it is an after-hours event, you must purchase a separate ticket on top of your park admission to attend, so make sure you reserve in advance as the party sells out fast!
