Retro Merchandise Goes International with Throwback EuroDisney Gear!

It was a simpler time in 1992, when we were gifted with some splendid things from Disney including Aladdin, The Mighty Ducks, Newsies, and The Muppet Christmas Carol. And there was one other momentous occasion for Disney: the opening of EuroDisney (now called Disneyland Paris).

EuroDisney wasn’t met with much acceptance from locals in France when it first opened and has often struggled with attendance, but it is still a great Disney Park and the only one in Europe. And Disney is showing the property some love, with a Frozen Celebration coming in early-2020, a whole Frozen land coming in the future, Disney’s Hotel of New York — The Art of Marvel in summer 2020, and Avengers Campus accepting superhero recruits in 2021.

And in spring 2020, Disneyland Paris is getting some limited release merchandise that’s truly a throwback.

The new items being released all feature the classic EuroDisney logo, early 90’s Mickey, and yellow, red, purple, and teal. The new items coming out are a new mug, a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a pin, and a keychain. We absolutely need all of these to live like it’s the 90’s again. It might even be worth the intercontinental flight just to get these. Especially the keychain; there is nothing that screams 90’s vacation souvenir like a good keychain.

Disney has been releasing a metric ton of retro merch over the last year or two. Classic Mickey Mouse Club merchandise was released last year and Disney Afternoon merchandise has been showing up all over.

Oh, snap, this retro gear is seriously fly. You might even say it’s all that and a bag of chips. (We’re not the only ones who wish 90s slang would come back, too, right?)
