This December the Star Wars 42-year epic film series comes to a close with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. To celebrate this event you can watch the entire nine-film saga at one time in a legendary Hollywood theatre.

Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre is hosting a nine-movie marathon to celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The marathon starts on December 18 at 7:00 pm with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, and closes on December 19 with the first screening of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The marathon audience will be among the the first to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Marathon guests will see:

• Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
• Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
• Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
• Star Wars: A New Hope
• Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
• Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
• Star Wars: The Force Awakens
• Star Wars: The Last Jedi
• Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Marathon guests will receive reserved seating for all nine films, a souvenir credential, meals and snacks, a light up Millennium Falcon popcorn container (one refill), two 20 oz bottled drinks, a comfort kit, a souvenir blanket, exclusive art poster, surprises, and more!

Tickets for the marathon are $125.00 per person, regardless of age. Tickets are now on sale at www.elcapitantickets.com, or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6, and at The El Capitan Theatre box office.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be shown at El Capitan December 20, 2019 through January 19, 2020.  Showtimes will be 9:30 am, 1:00 pm, 4:30 pm, 8:00 pm, and 11:00 pm. Show times and dates are subject to change. 

The theatre will be home to a costume exhibit “Evolution of the Stormtrooper”  as well as some costumes from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Before each showing you can also snap a picture with a First Order Stormtrooper at a meet-and-greet.

Special events and offers during the run of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker include Red Carpet & Premiere Party packages that include Ghirardelli treats in the Hollywood Room. A Hard Rock Cafe Movie & Meal package is also available. Tiny Tot Tuesdays will also be available for the first show every Tuesday of the film. During these screenings, parents and small children can watch the film in a tot-friendly way—with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.
