The Monorail is quintessential Disney at its finest! For lots of guests, a ride aboard the Highway in the Sky rivals any in-park attraction.

But as with all things, the Monorail does need a touch-up every once in a while. Disney is working on upgrading the trains, and Monorail Silver is the first to debut the new look!

For starters, you can see the outside got a fresh paint job. Look at that silver shine! The design may not have changed much (if at all?) but you can certainly tell she’s got a new wrap when compared to the existing trains.

Inside, you can see the blue-ish wall design is gone, and has been replaced with this sleek silver pattern instead. I love that it says “Monorail Silver” on the inside, so you can always know which train you’re on!

Also on the inside, you’ll notice the seats have been redone, They are now a dark gray color, as opposed to the current blue seats. They also appear to be sleeker and more modern.
We love the changes on Monorail Silver, and can’t wait to see the rest of the fleet!

Neither! I wanted to see the reveal of the new Mark VIII Monorail.
Monorail Silver got a silver interior. Are all monorail getting silver interiors or will they get the different colors?
Ah..the Monorail. One of my kids most favorite “rides”. They always loved to guess which color would arrive at our resort next. This was back in early-mid 2000’s at the same time the Power Rangers were popular. Each of our 3 boys had their favorite colored Monorail that matched their favorite Power Ranger. This was also at a time you could ask to ride in the front car with the pilot for an extra special view. Makes me miss the “Old” DisneyWorld.
looks nice, but would it hurt them to include a retro walt disney world detail or two like the previous logo blue backing?
How about fixing the air conditioning, it’s always so hot
Should have added some of that anti-microbial surface treatment to all the railings as well.
That’s great! Now invest some time into removing the BO smell from the inside.
Yes! One train we rode on last year literally smelled like horse manure. It was awful. We could see a huge wet area by the window so maybe there was a leak that was causing it.
Yes. I remember the winning horse in the Kentucky Derby neighing “I’m going to Disney World.” After his victory.
