On Saturday, May 11, Margaret Kerry, best known as the original reference model for Tinker Bell in Walt Disney’s Peter Pan (1953), celebrated her 90th birthday.
She also received some special pixie-dusted honors to recognize her on the occasion.
Among the many well wishes of admirers from around the world, Kerry received certificates and cards from Mayor Eric Garcetti on behalf of the City of Los Angeles; Supervisor Kathryn Barger on behalf of the County of Los Angeles; and First Lady of The United States, Melania Trump. The County of Los Angeles certificate included special hand-drawn Tinker Bell artwork.
Kerry continues to be in demand as a keynote and motivational speaker. She is a certified seminar leader by the American Seminar Leaders Association, and she is also co-author and facilitator of theFUNdamentals of SpeakingSeminars.
She also volunteers her time at Walt Disney’s Carolwood Barn located in Griffith Park.
In 2016, Kerry authored her autobiography:Â Tinker Bell Talks! Tales of a Pixie Dusted Life, which recounts her lengthy Hollywood career, her faith, and the relationships throughout her life.
