Fans of the Artemis Fowl series of novels, mark your calendars! August 9, 2019*, is the release date of the film adaptation of the first two books in the series. We have a sneak peek of the film now, with the very first trailer!

The film follows 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he finds himself in a battle of strength and cunning against a powerful, hidden race of fairies who may be behind his father’s disappearance.
Directed by Kenneth Branagh and based on the novels by Eoin Colfer, the film stars Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonnell, Tamara Smart and Nonzo Anozie, with Josh Gad and Dame Judi Dench.
