Disney legend and artist Mary Blair designed this 90 foot tall mural at the Contemporary Resort. It consists of nearly 18,000 hand-painted tiles, and is said to be the largest mural in the world. Over the years, Blair contributed to the design of many exhibits, attractions, and murals at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, including It’s a Small World and this beautiful mural in the Grand Canyon Concourse at the Contemporary.

Challenge #125: Where in the world is this?
Do you know? Do you have a guess? Please send in your answer, before the end of the day on Thursday, April 1, by clicking on the blue box below. Please do not post answers using the Feedback Form link at the bottom of this post. Remember to be specific with your answer – just naming a park will not get you into the drawing.

Note on last week’s photo: The interesting symbol on the side of the tower over Akershus is King Christian IV’s royal monogram. Akershus was a typical medieval castle until the late 16th century, when the king of Denmark-Norway, King Christian IV, decided to rebuild and modernize the castle. It served as his royal residence when he visited Norway. Thanks to Lee for digging up this information for us!
