We don’t know about you, but we think celebrating a birthday at Disney World is just about the best way to do it. You’re not merely celebrating another birthday – you’re celebrating in one of the Most Magical ways possible!
In case you’re planning a birthday trip to Disney World for yourself or a loved one, we’ve compiled some of our favorite uniquely Disney ways to celebrate.
Wear a Birthday Button!
If you’ve spent any time at Disney World, you’ve likely seen guests wearing celebration buttons for various exciting milestones. Be sure to grab a birthday button so everyone knows you’re celebrating something special. You can pick up a button at either the concierge desk at your Disney hotel or at Guest Relations in any of the parks. You never know — you just might get some extra pixie dust from cast members when they notice that it’s your special day!
Get a Special Birthday Cake
No birthday celebration is complete without cake, right? Disney World has you covered! You can order a cake from Disney by calling the Cake-Ordering Hotline at 407-827-2253.
If you’d like a custom cake from Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, call 407-934-3500. Orders require 72 business hours advance notice.
Book an In-Room Celebration
Surprise the birthday girl or boy with a magical in-room celebration at your Disney resort. Choose from a variety of packages that include an array of delectable goodies and gifts. These packages are on the pricey side but are great for a special occasion, and best of all are delivered directly to your Disney resort room! You can order them from Disney Floral and Gifts online here or by calling 407-939-4438.
Plan an Extra Special Meal… Maybe with Fireworks
This one might be my favorite on the list. Have you been waiting for the perfect time to try a fancy Disney World restaurant? Your birthday is a perfect time. Go ahead and splurge for the ultimate Disney World dining experience at Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You MUST get dressed up for that! Or go for a princess meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table. For an added magical touch, book dinner at the top of the Contemporary Resort at or California Grill and time it to coincide with the Happily Ever After fireworks. It will certainly be a meal to remember.
Get Pampered with a Spa Package or Makeover
Who doesn’t like to be pampered on their birthday? I know I do. If your little princess or pirate will be celebrating a birthday at the Magic Kingdom, book a makeover package at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or the Pirate’s League.
Unfortunately, grown-ups cannot get makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique like the little ones, but we can get special treatment at one of the salon locations that offers Character Couture packages. These packages will do character-inspired hair and makeup for adults, and include a tiara to boot!
Adults can also enjoy a spa package as a special birthday treat. Book a massage or facial at one of the spas on property and start or end your Disney day with some relaxation and rejuvenation.
Take a Fireworks Cruise
Celebrate your birthday on the water with a specialty cruise during the Happily Ever After or IllumiNations (soon to be Epcot Forever) fireworks. Your private boat rental includes a captain, sodas and snacks, and banners and balloons. You can learn more about booking a fireworks cruise here.
Enjoy High Tea at the Grand Floridian
Want the chance to feel perfectly posh on your birthday? Book an Afternoon Tea or Disney Perfectly Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian’s Garden View Tea Room. Tea times are offered throughout the day but make sure to make your reservations in advance.
Those are our top 7 uniquely Disney ways to celebrate the anniversary of your birth — do you have others?
