These performers put their all … Continue reading "Taiko Drummer in Japan"

Where in the World #214

An Exotic Dining Adventure at Restaurant Marrakesh
Posted onEven though the Moroccan pavilion in World Showcase has no attractions like some of the other countries, the pavilion is really an attraction unto itself. It is one of my favorite pavilions to walk through because it so completely immerses you into the sights, sounds, and culture of Morocco. With its winding back alleys and … Continue reading "An Exotic Dining Adventure at Restaurant Marrakesh"

San Angel Inn: From Mexico City to Epcot
Posted onWhen it comes to the countries of World Showcase, Mexico is one of my favorites to spend time in. While the pavilion’s Mayan pyramid exterior is certainly impressive, it is what lies inside that makes Mexico truly unique among all the countries. It is unfortunate that more than a few guests to Epcot do not … Continue reading "San Angel Inn: From Mexico City to Epcot"

When I think of France, I think of Paris which naturally takes me to the Eiffel Tower. In Epcot, the France pavilion uses Disney’s age old trick of forced perspective to make their Eiffel Tower look as … Continue reading "Epcot’s Eiffel Tower"
Katsura Grill Opens in Japan Pavilion
Posted onFor the last three months, Yakitori House at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot has been ensconced behind plywood walls. The Imagineers had decided it was time for a change and this perennial favorite of many underwent a transformation. First, the restaurant’s name has changed. Yakitori in Japanese refers to grilled skewered food, more often than … Continue reading "Katsura Grill Opens in Japan Pavilion"
