Where in the World #140
Posted onHi everyone – I’m back! Challenge #139 was a tough one. It had four parts, one for each week that I was on vacation. In order to make it into the prize drawing, you had to get all four parts correct. Anyone who did so was rewarded with two entries in the drawing this week. … Continue reading "Where in the World #140"
Coronado Springs Resort — Part Two
Posted onThe Dig Site is located in the middle of the resort and this is where you’ll find one of the best themed swimming pools at Walt Disney World. The centerpiece here is the Pyramid of the Sun. Inspired by the Temple of the Great Jaguar at Tikal, this structure is covered with years of jungle … Continue reading "Coronado Springs Resort — Part Two"
Coronado Springs Resort — Part One
Posted onFirst, a little history. In the early 16th century, the people living in New Spain (now Mexico) began to hear rumors of the “Seven Golden Cities of Cibola” located in the deserts hundreds of miles to the north. The legend told that these cities held vast amounts of wealth just waiting to be claimed by … Continue reading "Coronado Springs Resort — Part One"
Photographing Disney Food
Posted onI enjoy a good meal after spending a day walking around a Walt Disney World park. Thankfully, you have a choice of all kinds of table and counter service restaurants in the parks, resorts and Downtown Disney. I like to photograph the food for future restaurant reviews at the PSCalculator.net website. However, judging by all … Continue reading "Photographing Disney Food"

It was a somewhat different experience, but we still had a great … Continue reading "A Summer Day at Disneyland"

Magic Kingdom Resort Hidden Mickeys
Posted onI visited the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts one afternoon to look for Hidden Mickeys. Disney characters hide in the marble floor around the Grand Floridian lobby. (Baseer Muqri informed me that Mickey and Minnie are also in the marble floor at the entrance to 1900 Park Fare restaurant). Here’s Mickey near the lobby entrance doors. … Continue reading "Magic Kingdom Resort Hidden Mickeys"
Port Orleans French Quarter – Part Two
Posted onThanks for checking back for Part Two of my French Quarter blog. Leading from The Courtyard to Doubloon Lagoon (the swimming pool area), is a rather unique walkway. Here you’ll find a number of jazz-playing gators to liven things up. This is also an irresistible picture spot. Here’s a shot of a much-younger me on … Continue reading "Port Orleans French Quarter – Part Two"
Disney Pic of the Week – Bars and Lounges
Posted onGiven that I often travel solo to Walt Disney World and my tolerance for counter service meals is pretty low, I often find myself bellying up to the bars of some of the sit down restaurants for my meals. You can make a very nice meal from a couple of appetizers and many of the … Continue reading "Disney Pic of the Week – Bars and Lounges"
