New Star Wars Experiences Debut in December

More new Star Wars experiences are coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios early next year, in addition to those that will begin December 1 as announced in last week's AllEars newsletter: Star Wars Launch Bay, Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, Path of the Jedi, and an updated Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. Starting January 5, 2016: First Order Stormtroopers will be patrolling the park, interacting with guests as part of their mission to find members of the Resistance The fireworks show called "Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular" will be performed nightly. The show will be set to music from all the movies in the Star Wars saga. Star Wars-inspired food and beverage offerings will be available at various locations inside Disney's Hollywood Studios. Various novelty items and specialty foods, such as Blue Milk Panna Cotta, Padawan Limeade, BB-8 Lemon and Butter Cream cupcake, as well as a Han Solo Souvenir Kid's Meal served in a Han Solo-themed bucket, will be offered for purchase. In addition, there will soon be a dessert party during the Star Wars-themed fireworks show that will feature themed desserts, specialty drinks and a souvenir Chewbacca stein.

Season of the Force Comes to Disneyland November 16

Season of the Force begins at Disneyland on November 16, 2015. Star Wars Launch Bay, featuring a character greeting area, special exhibits, and peeks of "The Force Awakens", will open that day. Also coming in the near future will be an overlay of Space Mountain: Hyperspace Mountain, a new version of the Jedi Training Academy with characters from Star Wars Rebels, and the introduction of a new scene (inspired by The Force Awakens) into Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. The Tomorrowland Theater will feature scenes from classic Star Wars films, and special food and beverage items will be available for a limited time.

Tips for kids at Disney World’s Star Wars Weekends

Disney fans, who also are Star Wars fans, know that for four weekends in May and June, Disney's Hollywood Studios turns into a mecca for all things related to that galaxy far, far away. As the event has grown, so have the number of things that are geared toward kids. This year, we had a more casual approach to our arrival time because we weren't seeking an autograph. That was a mistake, though. The Force is not with families who do not line up outside the turnstiles at least an hour before park opening.
