When she handed me the menu, I KNEW I was in for a feast!
Hi y'all! Welcome to my review of Sassagoula Floatworks And Food Factory! So good! So good I didn't want to leave but my husband said we were running late on our lightning lane for Buzz Lightyear: Space Ranger Spin! (review coming soon!)
I was immediately struck by the dazzling decor, which felt like I had stepped into the real French Quarter! We can't afford to go to Louisiana so this is the next best thing!
Of course, as always with Disney, the grass looked beautiful walking in, straight up from the Moana (2017) film!
We really enjoyed the plates! We took turns! I took the first bite with tears of joy in my eyes, and then DEVOURED the shrimp and grits in less than two minutes and 16 seconds, NO TIME TO SPARE. Hahahahahaha!
And the cornbread? Yes please! With butter? Even better!
"I'll have the jambalaya please!" said the 3rd of my beautiful boys
"I'll take that too!" said the 2nd
"I'll take that too!" said the others!
Such darlings! Truly! When we went on this trip we told them they could eat some yummy benyays and that was soooooooooo good! I had such a nice time. Thank you. I hope a chef sees this and it makes their day!
Compliments to the chef I hope this makes your day!
Remember friends, keep calm and Disney on!
Pros:
Food and drink! Fanta! Easy to use napkin dispensers!Cons:
The chairs were not noisy!Reviewed by FishinGoofy Review Date: 09/13/2021

If you are staying at French Quarter, this is a perfect place to get breakfast or a quick snack (didn't eat lunch or supper here so wouldn't know about those just that they smelled pretty good). BEINGETS BEINGETS BEINGETS. Forget everything else and get a Beignet trust me you'll thank me! The coffee is also really really good. I had a Cafe Au Lait every single morning and shared an order of Beignets with my spouse who usually had a cappuccino.
Pros:
Great Coffee and need I say it again? Beignets!!!!Cons:

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory food court is phenomenal. It does not overcrowd at any time. he service is rather quick. It is perfect for those wishing to get to the park for rope-drop. Every morning at 7 i'd go down and get breakfast. It gives you the energy to win rope-drop and our day at Disney. DON'T FORGET TO GRAB SOME BEIGNETS.
Pros:
quiet, chill, good breakfast, fastCons:
Can be a lack of tables since it's meant to be a small resortReviewed by darcelmargliotti Review Date: 06/18/2019

I really hate going to a noisy crowded food court for meals, but not here. I really enjoy the smaller size and ample seating. Never had to fight for a table Enjoyed dining outside in the shade of trees for breakfast
Pros:
Smaller size. Good food. Just 3 stations to pick from.Cons:

I've stayed at this resort three times and so have eaten there on more than one occasion. The basics, like the hamburger, are fine, but at breakfast, do not get the eggs. During the last trip (Feb 2019) got the biscuits and gravy, which comes with scrambled eggs. I've long resigned myself to powdered eggs at the quick service breakfasts, but they were not edible during this trip. Scrambled eggs are not supposed to have the texture of oatmeal. The biscuits were so dry that they fell apart - and not in a good way.
Pros:
Lunch and dinner are okay if you stick with the basics.Cons:
Breakfast, especially the eggsReviewed by PolynesianStitch Review Date: 11/11/2018

We will ride the boat over from Disney Springs just to go here and get the Beignets. It is a highlight for us. It is just fried dough but it involved memories for us so it does taste special. Port Orleans French Quarter is one of our top two moderate resorts.
Pros:
Beignets are yummy! Always have had quick service and an open table.Cons:

During a 6 day stay at French Quarter, three adults ate most breakfasts at the food court, mainly using Dining Plan snack credits. The snack credit selection at breakfast is good, but gets repetitive and carb-heavy. I had a lot of grab and go fruit trays, along with either oatmeal or grits. Some days the grits were plain, and other days there was a hint of red pepper, so if you are averse to spicy foods, ask before you order. The staff is always pleasant, patient and helpful, and the cooks at the various bays are especially nice. Hooray for begniets!
