Tokyo DisneySea – Mediterranean Harbor

Posted on
I guess you could call Mediterranean Harbor the Main Street of Tokyo DisneySea. You enter this port of call by walking underneath the MiraCosta Hotel (instead of a train station), and to either side and beyond this walkway is an array of shops. There is a Japanese custom to bring gifts home to give to … Continue reading "Tokyo DisneySea – Mediterranean Harbor"

Cleaning a DSLR Sensor

Posted on
A couple of weeks ago I decided to clean the sensor in my Nikon D70 dSLR camera after taking hours cleaning up sensor dust spots on over a hundred images using software. Hopefully, you haven’t seen sensor dust too much. The images I had were shot with apertures of f/16 and f/22 with a lot … Continue reading "Cleaning a DSLR Sensor"

MiraCosta Hotel – Tokyo DisneySea

My favorite Disney theme park, worldwide, is Tokyo DisneySea. I tell anyone who will listen, “You can pay your $58 admission, never go on one attraction, and you will still get your moneys’ worth. This park is so beautiful, so packed with detail, so lavish in scope that a person will walk from one land … Continue reading "MiraCosta Hotel – Tokyo DisneySea"

Shiver me timbers, it’s Captain Hook and he’s trying to take over Peter Pan’s Never Land Garden. A new addition to this year’s festivities, the garden was located in the Imagination Walkway and features not only Captain Hook but Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and his worst nightmare, a crocodile. Tick tock. Tick tock. Canon Powershot … Continue reading "Portrait of a Pirate"

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort – Overall Opinion

Now, onto my overall opinion of the Hong Kong Disney Resort. The two hotels are wonderful and the service is outstanding. The ONLY complaint I had with the resort is that you cannot charge purchases made at Disneyland to your room. This policy needs to be changed. The surrounding grounds and roadways are beautiful – … Continue reading "Hong Kong Disneyland Resort – Overall Opinion"

Hollywood Hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Since I’m a Disneyphile, I wanted to experience as much as possible while visiting the Hong Kong Resort. So, even though I was staying at the Disneyland Hotel, I made a special trip over to Disney’s Hollywood Hotel to take a look around. I was very pleased with what I saw. The hotel’s architectural style … Continue reading "Hollywood Hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort"

Nikon’s Composite Function

Taking photos is fun but it’s exhilirating when you’re trying to capture all the excitement you’re feeling while traveling 25 mph on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Armed once again with the Nikon Coolpix 7600 point and shoot camera, I toyed with the Sports Composite feature. This can be found by turning the mode dial to … Continue reading "Nikon’s Composite Function"
