FULL GUIDE to Bikini Bottom at the NEW Universal Texas Theme Park

ARE YOU READY, KIDS??

We are screaming from the top of our lungs because we’re checking out Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, and Universal just brought SpongeBob SquarePants to life. No, really, we are entering Bikini Bottom and, honestly, we don’t know if we’re ever going to leave. The theme park will officially open to the public on July 1st, but we’re taking you with us for an early look.

Let’s enter SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom! This is one of the themed areas for this theme park that was designed just for kids. Don’t worry, though, adults are definitely getting in on the fun.

First up, let’s check out some of the rides and attractions!

Jellyfish Fields Jamboree

This is a floating spinner ride where riders can catch jellyfish above the coral alongside SpongeBob in their Jelly Angler. It’s a classic spinner ride — what’s not to love?

Barnacle Bus

On this ride, you’ll get a sightseeing-style tour through Bikini Bottom where you’ll see familiar friends and locations around the route.

Bobbing Barrels

Let’s get wet! This is a spinning water attraction where you can blast water alongside Patrick and Sandy.

Mrs. Puff’s Boating School

This looks straight from the show. You get to head behind the wheel of an undersea vehicle that spins, swerves, and reverses throughout the course.

The attraction goes faster than you would think, at least for little ones. You go around in a circle and move slightly up and down, but you do stay on the ground the whole time.

Mussel Beach and Pineapple Paradise

Who doesn’t love to play? While the whole theme park is built for kids, they especially like the two play areas. You can play in a splash pad and even go inside SpongeBob’s pineapple house.

How about some character meet-and-greets?

SpongeBob & Friends

In the area, you’ll have a chance to meet SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks, who will rotate throughout the day.

Barg’N-Mart

Here, you can enter a sunken treasure chest, which features all the nautical nonsense you want. There’s apparel, toys, plushies, and more.

Goofy Goober’s

As if we weren’t screaming before, we definitely were when we saw the real-life Goofy Goober’s. Our childhood dreams came true. You can grab chicken sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, and yes, sky-high sundaes, just like the show.

It felt like the authentic Goofy Goober’s from the movie, and we loved it. Of course, they serve the Triple Gooberberry Sunrise.
