Over the next several mornings, anyone in the state needs to be on the lookout for freezing temperatures and frost concerns. The weather is kicking off on Monday, January 26th, with scattered showers and high winds up to 25 mph. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly once the sun goes down. Tuesday morning is expected to have temperatures in the low to mid 30s.

If you’re in a county northwest of I-4, a freeze warning is currently in effect. The wind is expected to take temperatures into the 20s, which is the reason for the Cold Weather Advisory that’s expected to last through Thursday, January 29th. Once the morning temperatures settle down, the afternoons are expected to be “crisp” before more cold air comes in on Thursday.

If you’re headed to Disney World on a vacation or you’re already there, be prepared to bundle up! Despite what you might think, you absolutely can get cold even in the theme parks, which our team knows very well. During weeks like these, we come prepared with layers to the park.

The AllEars Cast was COLD!

Having jackets, gloves, and hats that you can easily shed and store as the day goes on is the best plan of action. If you get there and realize you have a few missing items, stores around each park tend to pull out extra racks of jackets and sweatshirts for you to grab. Drinking hot chocolate, coffee, or even just warm cups of water can be a great way to warm your insides and your hands while those temperatures persist.

Hot chocolate!

Once the sun is up, the parks will warm up a bit before temperatures drop in the evening. We also would recommend skipping those water rides when it’s colder out, but that’s more of a personal preference. For those currently impacted by the storm, our team is thinking of you and sending warm vibes! Be sure to keep following AllEars for more weather updates, tips, and more.

  1. Drive safe! Floridians (many in all southern states) aren’t schooled to drive in icy conditions, and road salt or plowing is non existent.
