Planning a trip to Disneyland and not sure where you should eat while you’re there? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place!

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Hollywood Lounge at Disney California Adventure and are bringing you our FULL review!
Background
Hollywood Lounge is a quick-service spot located just behind Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue, that serves up delectable drinks and some fun eats.

While you can order food at Hollywood Lounge, you’ll pick it up at Studio Catering Co., which is located right next door.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.
Atmosphere
Since this is an outdoor dining location, the seating is outdoors as well — you won’t find any indoor seating or air-conditioning here, so keep that in mind if you want to plan a visit.

There’s plenty of “lounge” seating for you to sit and relax at, but designated tables for eating can be found at Studio Catering Co., too.

But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the Disneyland 70th Celebration Acrylic Flute for $18. This is Sparkling Wine with Violet & Dragon Fruit Syrups and Lemon Juice, Served in a Flute.
This had a floral-forward taste and was sweet but not overly sweet. The lemon was very subtle, with violet probably being the most prominent flavor. It was a tasty sparkling wine that was refreshing and came with a neat souvenir flute — what’s not to love? It did need a bit of stirring, though!

We also grabbed the Celebration Cocktail for $19.50, made with Tequila, Rum, Vodka, and Glittery Blue Raspberry Lemonade, topped with Sprite® and garnished with a Cherry.
The blue raspberry and lemonade are super apparent here. We recommend stirring this since the bottom will be packed with booze, and you might be in for a shock. The sprite gives it a seltzer texture, and you can’t really taste the booze if you stir it. This was a perfect summer drink!

To eat, we ordered the Lomo Saltado Burrito, which you can get for $13.99. It’s made with a Peruvian-inspired Lomo Saltado Stir-fry, Shoestring French Fries, and Serrano-Lime Rice wrapped in a Warm Flour Tortilla, served with Serrano Hot Sauce.

First things first, the burrito was really nicely wrapped — it didn’t immediately fall apart like burritos sometimes can. The meat was nicely seasoned and cooked, not chewy at all. The rice had a great citrus flavor along with tasty bell peppers. BUT! This bad boy is HOT, and the heat lingers, so that hot sauce is going to dominate the flavors here. We think the price is a little high for what you get, but it is shareable if you’re just looking for a snack.

And finally, we also picked up the Western-Style Loaded Potato for $9.29. This is a Creamy Baked Potato with Garlic Butter, Charro-Style Beans, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Green Onions, and Sliced Jalapeños.

This was exactly what you would think it would be as far as a loaded potato — but that’s a good thing! This was a LARGE baked potato. It has garlic butter, and you could definitely taste the garlic in this. It had charro-style beans, shredded cheese, sour cream, green onion, and sliced jalapenos, which all paired really well together. There were plenty of toppings on it, and we appreciated how much cheese and sour cream were on it. It’s definitely hearty and filling, so keep that in mind if you’re trying to keep things light!
Well, is Hollywood Lounge worth a stop?
Magic or Tragic?
This Disneyland restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re after a quick but tasty bite to eat that’s a little bit more unique than burgers and chicken tenders.
- You’re in the mood for some drinks (alcoholic or otherwise)!
You should skip this Disneyland spot if…
- You’re looking for a sit-down meal with table service.
- You want somewhere to take a break with indoor seating.
- You’re looking for a lot of variety — you won’t find that here.
All in all, we really enjoyed our meal at Hollywood Lounge — even if the food is technically from Studio Catering Co. The burrito was really tasty and something we’d get again, and if you’re after a hearty meal — get that potato!
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!
