The Longest Line in Disneyland Was NOT for an Attraction Today, and These Crowds Are BANANAS!

A lot of exciting things are happening in Disneyland right now.

First, the resort is celebrating its 70th anniversary, which has brought back the return of the Paint The Night parade, a special version of World of Color, lots of 70th decor, new merchandise, and so much more. Of course, the celebration has brought crowds to the park, but the arrival of the famous Savannah Bananas at Disneyland today has brought even MORE crowds.

Who are the Savannah Bananas, you might ask? Well, they’re sort of a team full of baseball players who double as entertainers. It’s kinda hard to explain, but they have dance routines, funny sketches, and more between innings. Think Harlem Globetrotters, but with baseball. Here’s a peek at what they do.

Anyway, they are visiting Disneyland, and shenanigans are afoot. But more importantly, their arrival was marked with some BIG crowds hoping to get a peek at them.

To celebrate their arrival, Disneyland made sure to offer some banana-themed snacks, including the Banana Sno-Ball, the Banoffee Tart, and the Banana Split.

The Savannah Bananas spent some time meeting with the crowds as well as signing autographs.

There was even a cavalcade to kick off their arrival in Disneyland. Of course, there was a huge photo op in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, too.

But the crowd wanted a performance, so that’s what they got. There was a dance number in front of the castle. It was a short performance, but it was fun.

After their day in Disneyland, the Savannah Bananas will be appearing at nearby Angel Stadium in Anaheim to play games on May 30th and 31st. Can’t be there? You can watch these games, as well as others, on Disney+.
