ATTENTION D23 Attendees, your map is HERE!

D23: The Ultimate Fan Event – – the massive Disney convention and expo where the company is expected to drop a ton of news on their entertainment and theme park offerings – – is less than two weeks away! Now we have a pretty good idea of what the show is going to look like!
While the biggest news-making panels at D23 are going to take place at the Honda Center (the massive arena home of the NHL’s Ducks), the bulk of the show will be located at the Anaheim Convention Center.
On July 30th, Disney released a floor plan for the convention center, showing off the full layout of booths and exhibitions on the convention’s show floor.
The first floor will feature booths and floor space dedicated to Marvel Studios, Avatar, Imagineering, Lucasfilm, National Geographic, Disney+, Hulu, Pixar, ESPN, and the Disney Crusie Line, among others. In addition, the floor will be home to space for retail from Disney and its partners including the D23 Emporium, Pin Store, and outposts of Disney partners including Pandora, Loungefly, BoxLunch, and RSVLTS.

The second floor will feature the Hyperion and Backlot Stages, as well as the Inside Out 2 Headquarters, while the third floor’s main feature will be the Disney Archives Stage. In addition, the building’s North 200 Level will be home to the World of Disney Product Experience, including the D23 Marketplace and areas dedicated to Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Princesses, and Mickey & Friends.

This newly released floor plan, in conjunction with the previously released schedule for the D23 Ultimate Fan Event, will allow festival attendees to plan their weekend and their potential route around the Anaheim Convention Center as they decide what options at the convention and expo they don’t want to miss.
The D23 Ultimate Fan Event is going to be offering virtual queues for select shopping experiences including “the D23 Marketplace, Disney Studio Store Hollywood (Friday and Saturday only), Mickey’s of Glendale (Friday only), Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store, The Walt Disney Company Store, and The Walt Disney Company Pin Store. Virtual queue will be required to shop at these locations starting when the event opens at 9 a.m. each day. Virtual queue opportunities will be available at 4 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day on the Disneyland app through the Disney D23 App. Fans may sign up for a “boarding group” for themselves and one (1) guest with virtual queue and receive a notification when it’s their turn to shop. Joining the virtual queue does not grant immediate access to any experience, and there may still be a queue and waiting period at the location. The virtual queue is limited in capacity and subject to availability. Stand-by queues will not be available in the mornings, but stand-by opportunities may be available later in the afternoon each day if all virtual queue boarding groups have been recalled.”

The schedule for the stages at the Anaheim Convention Center includes discussions of Disney — and Disney-owned — history on the Walt Disney Archives stage. These include presentations on The history of The Muppets, Donald Duck, and the 1995 cult classic A Goofy Movie.

Signings and other events dedicated to Disney and Pixar Animation.

The Hyperion Stage will feature:

The Disney+ will feature meet & greet opportunities with Bluey and Bingo throughout the expo.

The LucasFilm booth will feature presentations from special effects pioneers, Industrial Light & Magic (more famously known as ILM).

There will be several signing and meet & greet opportunities at the World of Disney: Product experience including with artists, Imagineers, and Tiana actress Anika Noni Rose.

Further signings from well-known Disney figures from both behind the scenes and in-front of the camera will take place at Talent Central.

The Backlot Stage will feature panels to Disney films and television, as well as the Lorcana card game, Disneyland foods, and the Walt Disney Family Museum.

The D23 expo is going to be chockful of events and appearances to appeal to all stripes of Disney fans, from Marvel and Star Wars fanatics to history buffs and theme park aficionados. Now, thanks to the release of the floor plan, you can start piecing together your ideal D23 weekend. Stay tuned to AllEars for further D23 coverage.
