Marvel Will LITERALLY Shoot Down Drones To Prevent Spoilers ? No, That’s Not a Joke

Many of us have seen Marvel cast members joke with Tom Holland about accidentally revealing spoilers for films inside the MCU Universe.

But we’ve also seen spoilers accidentally revealed on shopDisney right after a Marvel film has come out, and as it turns out, there’s a reason we don’t see many Marvel spoilers — the company is determined to not let anything slip before its time.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Emilia Clarke, who joined the cast of Marvel’s Secret Invasion, said that keeping spoilers for Marvel is so much easier than Game of Thrones because all she has to say is Marvel’s name.

According to Clarke, when Game of Thrones really wanted to crack down on no spoilers, they wanted to follow Marvel’s example of not having anything on paper — even scripts! She goes on to say that she and her costar Peter Dinklage struggled with this, saying “‘I need it on paper! I can’t learn my lines without it being on paper!'”

Clarke also says that after her meeting with Marvel about security, she took “the SIM card out of her phone for the first few days of filming because she was so afraid of fans tracking her down.”

And when a drone flew over set trying to get footage? Marvel literally SHOT DOWN THE DRONE.

Secret Invasion and Marvel star Samuel L. Jackson said much of the same, and added that after the drone was shot down, Marvel was able to follow another one back to where the operator was, and “they got him.”

When Jackson was preparing for the first Avengers film, he ran into a bit of trouble as well. “I remember when we got ready to do Avengers, someone printed out a copy of my Avengers script that had my watermark on it, and put it online for sale. I was shooting in Canada and Marvel came to Canada. It had been printed in the production office… They found out who it was, dude quit, left the country. They set up a fake buy for the script, dude didn’t show up. It was crazy.”

It sounds like if you ever get the chance to be in a Marvel movie, you better keep all those scripts and details a secret!
