It’s somewhat of an understatement to say that George Lucas and Lucasfilm are a pretty big deal. For fans of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, a great debt is owed to Lucasfilm and its creations.
Despite so many people’s love for Lucasfilm, not much is known about the behind-the-scenes of Geroge Lucas’ work! Today, we have some news that might change that fact.
According to Collider, Lawrence Kasdan, a notable Lucasfilm writer who has worked on Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Force Awakens, and Solo, will be directing a new docuseries about George Lucas and his special effects company called Industrial Light and Magic.
Founded in 1975, Industrial Light and Magic has a storied history in the special effects industry, lending its services to the Harry Potter Series, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, the Terminator series, and over 300 other films.
There is no word on a release date, title, or what the documentary will exactly cover, but it is suspected to debut on Disney+ due to its connections to Lucasfilm.
