Now that Universal Hollywood has reopened, we’ve been able to see new attractions, updated features, and additional changes.

However, sometimes things go wrong in the parks or don’t go according to plan. And, today was one of those days in Universal Hollywood.

Yahoo! News has reported that a fire broke out in Universal Hollywood late Tuesday night on June 1st. The fire took place near Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem , which was under construction. However, Universal is unsure of what started the blaze, and they are currently looking into details to find the source.

A Universal spokesperson stated that there weren’t any injuries or damages from the fire that occurred in the “back of house in a non-guest area.” The fire comes exactly 13 years after a previous blaze broke out in the park’s back lot when a worker used a blowtorch to heat up asphalt shingles. Unlike the fire that took place this week, the past one destroyed three acres of the park, including the King Kong Encounter attraction that once sat in Universal Hollywood.
