Mardi Gras International Flavors of Carnaval Kicks Off at Universal Orlando Today!

It’s that time of the year — a time for Mardi Gras floats, beads, colorful masks, and fun!

And although this year’s Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Orlando is a little different, there’s still a lot going on! The International Flavors of Carnaval event features food booths and special Mardi Gras entertainment!

And the Mardi Gras festivities officially start today at Universal! At the International Flavors of Carnaval, visitors can get a taste of a variety of cuisines from all over the world, including Puerto Rico, New Orleans, Trinidad and Tobago, Germany, and more!

Visitors can also get a Festival Tasting Lanyard for $55 to sample 10 items at the booths. Annual Passholders can get an exclusive Tasting Lanyard that includes 15 items for $65.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Mardi Gras Tribute Store is serving up a series of delicious treats! The Tribute Store also features a 1920s jazz parlor with live music, a nautical cemetery, a warehouse full of smuggled treasures, and a firefly-lit swamp.

Universal will also feature a series of elaborate floats displayed along its streets, along with street entertainment, music, and — of course — beads!

If you’re ready to let the good times roll, put on your Mardi Gras face mask, and head on over to Universal. The Mardi Gras celebration runs from February 6th through March 28th and it’s included with a theme park ticket or annual pass. We’ll let you know about any other Mardi Gras events there, too!
