Universal Orlando has announced a variety of changes since its initial reopening in June.

From temporarily closing attractions, to the cancelation of Halloween Horror Nights, the parks has made plenty of changes to accommodate the lower capacity due to the global health crisis. And now, the parks have announced another change.
According to Attractions Magazine, Universal Orlando will begin offering date-based pricing starting tomorrow, August 18th. The new system will offer guests tickets priced based on the specific dates they would like to visit, meaning that busier times of year will go for a higher price, versus slower parts of the year.

Now, when guests purchase tickets, they will be required to choose dates on a calendar for when they are looking to visit. However, if they end up changing the dates for their visit, they will be able to through the Guest Self Service feature in the Universal mobile app. Using this, guests will be able to exchange for dates that are equal or lower price without being charged. If they would like to change their dates to a more expensive time of year, they will need to pay the difference prior to visiting the parks.

Guests who do not want to specify a date for their visit will still be able to purchase tickets, with flex ticket options available that will be valid for one year after they are generated.
We’ll keep you updated on any further changes to Universal Orlando.
