The Webby Awards happened earlier today and National Geographic walked away with several wins.
The Webby Awards streamed on their website today and were hosted by Patton Oswalt. For those unfamiliar, the Webby Awards are presented for excellence on the internet. At this year’s Webbys, National Geographic won 15 awards — including the Media Company of the Year!
Disney acquired controlling interest in NatGeo when they purchased 20th Century Fox and Executive Chairman of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, took to Twitter to congratulate NatGeo on all of their wins.
Congratulations to Disney and NatGeo on their Webby wins! If anyone needs us, we’ll be celebrating by watching National Geographic shows on Disney+ all night!
