Wilderness Lodge Rooms Converting to Villas

Some hotel rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are being renovated and converted to Disney Vacation Club villas. Access has been blocked to the hotel wing on the east side of the Lodge, which is the side closest to the existing villas, now dubbed Boulder Ridge Villas. Elevators that service that wing have been walled off. Trees have been cleared to make way for the cabins that will be on the west side of the resort, the side closest to World Drive. However, not all of the trees have been cut down. It appears a line of trees right near the shoreline have been kept. Although the Hidden Springs Pool has been demolished, excavation work has yet to begin on the new pool. Much of the framing for the new lakefront restaurant building appears to be completed.
