Over the last 30 years, there have been a lot of Buzz Lightyear toys. From full-size action figures to plushes to Funko Pops and everything in between, there have been thousands of representations since Toy Story came out three decades ago (and yes, it is a bit Inception to think about how many toys there are of a character who experiences an existential crisis when he realizes he’s a toy). However, we’ve never seen one quite like this.

Disney’s online shop is currently offering a Buzz Lightyear figure that costs nearly $700. But get this, our Space Ranger pal is no mere action figure.
The $699 Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Robotic Action Figure by Robosen is a feat of modern technology.

The interactive robotic figure measures in at 14 2/3” H x 5 9/10” W x 13 3/4” L with wings extended (11 3/4” L with wings retracted), and features 23 built-in high precision servo motors and 75 microchips. The figure’s head features “custom-designed ‘ultra-micro’ programmable joints for the character, enabling Buzz Lightyear’s subtle eye and lip movements,” which, combined with its “movie-accurate character voice,” allows the figure to realistically recite memorable lines from the Pixar films.

The figure also has electronic, animated joints that enable Buzz to walk and move like in the movies and light-up features to provide the “most interactive and realistic robotic experience.” An app mode allows buyers to create their own scenes with in-app programming.

The figure also features “exquisite modeling and classic space suit colors that authentically represent the Space Ranger,” extendable/retractable wings, and multiple hands to recreate various poses.

The figure even includes two sets of footplates: A pre-installed footplate that features Andy’s signature, like in the films, as well as an official blank foot accessory for players to add their own handwritten signature.

The figure comes in movie-authentic packaging…

… and is packaged with a PD fast-charging adapter (Type C) for its lithium-ion battery.
