A Virtual Queue Is Returning To Disney World For A Limited Time This Month

The holidays in Disney World mean big crowds, sweating in Christmas pajamas, and kids perpetually asking, “Can I have this for Christmas?”

Santa and Breedlove!

It’s honestly our favorite time of the year because even with everything we mentioned, the feelings of magic are higher than ever, thanks to special snacks, decorations, and more. Plus, Santa makes a stop by each year, and you don’t even need a park ticket to see him! That being said, you will need some very important information that we have right here.

The Big Man is returning to Disney World! That’s right, Santa himself is coming to the parks, and he’s bringing back virtual queues while he’s here. Remember those? Virtual queues? To meet Santa in Disney Springs, you’ll need to join a virtual queue, but don’t stress, it’s easy!

Santa in Disney Springs!

Starting on November 13th, you can join a virtual queue to meet Santa Claus near Disney’s Pin Traders! You can join the queue through the My Disney Experience app, and it’s important to know there won’t be a traditional standby queue. You can see what the virtual queue option has looked like in the past right here.

According to Disney, there will be multiple opportunities to enter the virtual queue throughout the day! Times are:

    • 9:00 AM
    • 11:00 AM
    • 1:00 PM
    • 3:00 PM
    • 6:00 PM

You need to be at Disney Springs to enter the queue! One person in your party can join it for everyone, and you will receive a notification when it’s time for you to return to the line. Your notification will open a link to a digital entry code. If you can’t find your digital entry code, click on the 3-line “hamburger” icon in the app and select “Virtual Queues.”

There’s a maximum party size of 10 people, so if you have more than 10 people, you will need to join as two separate groups. Santa will be around until December 24th (he’s pretty busy that night and the next day). There’s quite a bit of Holiday Entertainment coming to Disney Springs in addition to Santa!
