HUGE Upgrades Announced for Popular Universal Orlando Hotel

This icon at Universal Orlando is getting a major update, and we’re here for it!

The Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando is finishing the $40 million upgrade to the property with new guest rooms.

The guest rooms, the hotel’s signature restaurant, The Kitchen, the lobby bar, The Velvet Bar, and the building facade are all getting a renovation to “breathe new life into a hotel well-known for its music and entertainment-infused experiences.”

The design is inspired by the colors and textures of a California sunset, featuring oranges, blues, and ambers. There will be elements of driftwood and handmade macrame fixtures that take guests into a different time and place. They’re going for a California modern mission-style exterior.

The managing director of the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando says, “We’re thrilled for our guests to experience a new look and feel when they check in next. Think of a place where you would hang out and listen to your favorite band lay down a new track in the studio. That is the vibe the designers created in our new rooms.”

There will be plenty of musical memorabilia and live music, like all Hard Rock Hotels with poolside DJs, the weekly Acoustic Brunch in The Kitchen, and the Velvet Sessions and Velvet Unplugged concert series.

Doesn’t all of that sound great? The Hard Hock is a great option if you know you want to be close to Universal Orlando. It’s a short walk, water taxi, or shuttle ride to all four Universal theme parks.
