Hey, what can we say? We’re just not into slow vacations.

There’s a new travel trend called a “calmcation” that is taking the internet by storm, but as Disney Adults, we’re wondering if that’s better than a week-long trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
What is a calmcation? It’s the type of vacation that is, well, calming! It doesn’t have you rushing around, getting up early, staying out late, or feeling the stress of a vacation. After all, a vacation is supposed to be relaxing, right?

A calmcation sounds perfect for a beach trip, but a Disney World trip? No way! While you don’t want to feel stressed on a vacation (which is why we’re here, bringing you all the research you need for your Disney World trip), we don’t necessarily want to be lounging around all day.

Now, don’t get us wrong, we love a quick stop back at our Disney Resort to take a nap before heading to our next park, but we’d be lying if we said we didn’t already have everything planned for the evening before we close our eyes. We have our Lightning Lanes booked, our dining reservation ready, and know which spot we’re going to grab for Happily Ever After.

Disney World vacations can be the most magical, but it can feel like a lot of go, go, go. We love to take our breaks over a longer dinner or visit the resort pool. We even love an early evening in, sitting around watching Disney movies with the family, but if you want to get the most bang for your buck at Disney World, you might have to put a bit of pep in your step.

Disney Adults are known for creating insane challenges like the four parks, one day, where they travel to all four theme parks, ride a ride, and eat a snack all in one day. Our team here at AllEars has even done challenges like SIX parks in one day, but traveling from the East to the West Coast in 24 hours (and it was quite the adventure).

We’ve also completed tasks like riding every attraction in Disney World in a day! We don’t do these videos so you can feel the pressure to try to get everything done (but hey, if you do, tag us so we can see it!). These videos help show Lightning Lane strategies, easy ways to move around the parks, and provide you with options for your trip.

Do you need to constantly be going to enjoy a Disney World trip? Absolutely not! You might feel pressure to fully book your trip with everything possible, but once you get a taste of the magic, you’ll want to start planning your next trip anyway.

Take a moment to enjoy the details of Main Street or the flowers in EPCOT. Try to find hidden Mickeys around Hollywood Studios, and stop and watch the animals in Animal Kingdom. There is a lot more to Disney World than attractions, and taking a calmer or slower approach can help you appreciate all the tiny details from Disney Imagineering.

IDK…my Mom and I like to go and do a girls weekend, usually light Epcot or AK, sometimes we don’t do the parks at all. We love riding living with the land. Granted we live in a small town and it is only 3 hours or so by car- we don’t have much where we live, we really appreciate the dining and the shopping, and do step outside the bubble a bit. But yeah we are an anomaly, but you can totally a calm stress free Disney moment. We do make our dining reservations though. 🤣
we went twice and are older. the last two times we got most of the rides we wanted to go on in. my boyfriend now doesn’t really want to do roller coasters or anything that jostles you around a lot because he’s afraid he’ll get a backache. so I told him lets just go again and just go on our favorite rides and then just enjoy all the scenery and work the imagineers put in because we really didn’t see all that the last two times because we were getting all the rides in.
The older I get the more calm I make my vacation
