Disney is constantly releasing new merchandise, and we often find ourselves wanting to add yet another Disney mug to our collection. There are so many mugs and just not enough shelf space for all the mugs we want!

There are SO many Disney mugs available, and even more are being released. There are mugs for lots of different characters, movies, rides, and parks. If you collect Disney mugs, here are some rules you need to follow!
One of the first rules you need to follow when collecting mugs is making sure you have space for them. Unlike other items like pins, a mug takes up a lot more space, and you can quickly find yourself running out of cabinet space. Before you make the purchase, make sure you have the space. Of course, you can always make the space by utilizing mug organizers. Like this KAOTGOT Coffee Cup Holder!

You can get this organizer in a variety of styles and colors to best match your home. Each organizer can hold up to 16 mugs, so you can keep your collection going. You can always order additional organizers, so you never run out of space for mugs.
Or you can take it a step further and create your very own mug wall. Turn all those mugs into decorations! We think a mug wall would be the perfect centerpiece for any home.

Onto the next rule! If you see a mug you really like, you may want to grab it. Sometimes, certain mugs may sell out quickly, so if you really like one, grab it while you can. A bit ago we spotted a People Mover mug that quickly sold out. We haven’t seen it restocked yet, so if you had your eye on that mug and missed out, you were probably pretty disappointed.

We also recommend giving the mug a test drive (not really, please don’t put your mouth on it), but make sure it will do what you want it to do. Some mugs are awkward to drink out of and are more for decoration. So, if you intend to drink from it, visualize what that might look like before you make a purchase. Test out the handle, too! Make sure you would enjoy drinking out of it. If you are purchasing online, give it a couple more glances to make sure you would truly enjoy drinking out of it. Of course, if you are just buying a mug to display, you don’t need to worry about any of that.

Also, ensure they are microwave/dishwasher safe if that matters to you. While many Disney mugs are, not every single one is, so pay close attention if you like washing your mugs in the dishwasher or heating them up in the microwave.

Finally, if you find yourself overwhelmed by mugs or purchasing way too many of them, you might want to limit yourself. You could choose a certain park, character, or family of characters, and limiting yourself to purchasing mugs within the theme. It can be super easy to go overboard, so setting parameters might be helpful!
