The Disney Skyliner has changed the game when it comes to getting around Disney World.

1. More Comfortable Seats
We love the views from the Skyliner, but let’s be honest—those hard benches aren’t exactly the most inviting. After a long day in the parks, a little seat padding would make the ride feel way more relaxing (especially when your feet are screaming from walking 20,000 steps). Even just a slight cushion could take this from a quick ride to a midday break.

2. Adding Music
One of the easiest ways to make a Disney transportation option feel magical is by adding music—just look at Disney buses! Right now, the Skyliner is mostly quiet, but imagine floating over Disney property while classic Disney tunes play in the background. A little background music would go a long way in making the whole experience feel more immersive.

3. Seasonal Overlays
Speaking of music, this is Disney after all, so why not switch things up for the seasons? It would be so fun to hop on a gondola in October and hear spooky Halloween tunes. During the holidays, festive background music could play. Even a few twinkle lights or themed voiceovers would make the ride feel like part of the celebration. It’s simple, but who can resist a holiday overlay ride at Disney World?

4. Wait Times
During busy seasons, the Skyliner can have long lines. It would be helpful if the My Disney Experience app showed wait times for each Skyliner station, especially during peak hours or weather delays. That way, guests could make smarter choices about their transportation.

5. More Stops
We’ll take any excuse to stay on the Skyliner longer, so adding another stop, especially near the BoardWalk area, could be so helpful. Right now, if you’re staying at BoardWalk, Beach Club, or Yacht Club, you’re heading over to EPCOT‘s International Gateway just to catch a ride. A dedicated stop in that area would be super convenient and add a little more magic for guests.

6. Solo Gondolas
Okay, we know the Skyliner is efficient and loads quickly, but sometimes sharing a small, enclosed space with strangers in 90-degree weather just isn’t the vibe. Especially if you’re sweaty, tired, or just want a peaceful ride without awkward silence. Offering solo gondolas or at least the option to request one would seriously improve the experience, because sometimes you just want your own space to cool down, take in the view, and enjoy the ride.

With you 100% on the option for solo gondolas!! The forced sharing is one of the reasons I avoid it.
The only thing posting the wait times would really do is let you think twice about heading over at a given time since there are no bus options between the Skyliner resorts and Epcot or Studios (unless the Skyliner is down).
